A test involving the measurement of energy consumption of microcontroller-based platforms has been completed

Measuring the energy consumption of microcontroller-based systems is one of the main features of OpenEPT. To conduct initial testing and validate the current functionalities, a system was created that includes the Nucleo-L476RG microcontroller-based development kit and the ESP32 Wi-Fi module. The block diagram of this system is shown in Figure 1.

The testing scenario involves measuring energy consumption using two sampling rates: 1 ms and 10 µs. Since the Wi-Fi module generates significant and rapid peak values during communication, OpenEPT enables the capture of these peaks and provides a detailed representation of the battery's response.
