Two New OpenEPT Products Are Ready

Two new OpenEPT products are now ready for use. As part of the second development phase of the OpenEPT ecosystem, we have completed the OpenEPT Charger and the redesigned OpenEPT Energy Profiler Probe (EPP), bringing new charging capabilities together with an improved energy measurement platform.

The OpenEPT Charger is a dedicated module for single-cell LiPo batteries designed to integrate directly with the OpenEPT ecosystem. It combines programmable battery charging, configuration and monitoring capabilities with dedicated hardware, firmware, and communication interfaces, allowing battery-powered devices to be charged and managed as part of the OpenEPT development workflow. The OpenEPT Energy Profiler Probe (EPP) has also been redesigned and is now ready in its new version. The updated board extends the measurement capabilities of the original OpenEPT platform with a wider current sensing range, improved voltage support, programmable protection thresholds, persistent parameter storage, calibration support, and a number of hardware and firmware improvements introduced during the second development phase.
